    In your job search, we look for a suitable job together. Not sure yet what direction you want to take? No problem, we'll work it out together. You know what job you want, but you have little experience or don't have the right papers? Let us help you take the right steps.

    We have many years of experience in the guidance of higher-educated profiles. In addition, we also have a large network of companies and focus on job hunting.

    Based on our years of experience guiding the over 50 age group towards the labour market, we know there are many prejudices surrounding age. Together, we disprove all those prejudices!

  2. Follow-up appointment with your VDAB mediator

    Specify your choice at your next VDAB appointment.

  3. Intake interview

    We take the time to discover your interests and talents and map your career expectations.

  4. Action plan tailored to your needs

    Together we plan actions, courses and workshops to prepare you for the labour market. Do you have any questions? Is something bothering you? Let us know!

  5. Consultation moments with your coach

    As a sparring partner, your coach supports and guides you in your search for a suitable job, digitally and at the location of your choice.
     

  6. Looking for a suitable job together

    Successful coaching is guaranteed, individually and in groups, digitally and on site. Have you found a job? We still stay in touch with you.

Some questions and answers

How long does a coaching pathway take?

A coaching pathway at Skill BuilderS takes at least six months. If you find work sooner we’ll still be available for questions and support without obligation. If you speak a different language, the pathway is extended to 12 months.

What is the difference between an introductory interview and an intake interview?

During an introductory interview or explanation on the telephone we ask you specific questions, such as What kind of job are you looking for? What do you want? What obstacles do you face?

An intake interview is carried out at the start of the coaching. We take the time to discover your interests and talents and map your career expectations.

What if I don't get on with my coach?

We have a strong team of enthusiastic coaches in various fields of expertise. All our coaches are on hand to help you find an appropriate job. Check out our website to see which coaches work in your area. 

You don't have a good rapport with your coach? Then too we'll find a solution.
 

Who will be my coach then?

During the introductory interview (without obligation) we discuss any career questions. Together we look for the desired location, time and coach who can provide the best help.

Where will I be coached?

Always close to your home. Our 68 locations are spread across Flanders and Brussels. All our locations can be found on our site. There's sure to be one near you. You can count on successful coaching, digitally and on-site at the location of your choice. 

Who went before you?

From the first moment there was a good contact with my coach Ellen. Ellen understood my situation and did not put any pressure on me. She showed interest in my ambitions, past and experiences. Together we went looking for my future. Ellen kept in touch via messages and email. Something I feel more comfortable with as a young person than a zoom meeting or physical appointments. During the coaching I discovered that it is OK to not know what to do with yourself for a while. Ellen taught me to work with what is present in myself to achieve my goal. I am now working at Agfa Gevaert as a Process Operator. And … I am super satisfied!
